Office 365 Migration – BUILDING FRAMEWORKS FOR COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION, INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY

A large Melbourne based advertising agency with 50 employees use HostGator (a pop3 and IMAP based email service provider). The business utilises a mixture of Windows and Mac devices in the office and remotely.

Challenge
The advertising agency was not functioning collarboratively. Using IMAP mail protocol meant there were no calendars, contacts or collaboration features available. The Office applications were also expired and required updating.

Solution
ITswitch migrated the IMAP mailboxes to Office 365, while keeping the folder structure in the mailboxes intact. The data migration was done in the background to ensure there was no impact on users. By assigning the appropriate license to the advertising agency, they were also entitled to the latest versions of the Microsoft Office suite.

To facilitate effective collaboration between staff members both onsite and remotely, ITswitch implemented a Microsoft Teams solution. This gave the advertising agency access to collaborative messaging, calling, video meetings, and file sharing services as part of their Office 365 subscription..

ITswitch also provided user training and support after the migration to demonstrate the capabilities of Office 365 and Outlook.

Since the advertising agency has moved from HostGator to Office 365, it is able to take full advantage of email and calendar access from any device and any location and sharing calendars.

Using Office 365’s features including Teams and OneDrive, and its integration with email, is also an added benefit for the client, increasing team productivity and effective communication on projects.
